Cosmetic dentistry can change the shape, colour and appearance of your teeth, using options such as composite bonding and veneers made from composite, ceramic or zirconium.

Cosmetic dentistry covers treatments that aim to improve how your teeth look. They include composite bonding, where tooth-coloured material is shaped onto the tooth, and veneers, which are thin shells bonded to the front of a tooth.
Your dentist will start by listening to what you would like to change, then examine your teeth and gums and explain which options, if any, could be suitable. The aim is a natural-looking result, but how your teeth will look cannot be promised in advance.
Some cosmetic treatments involve removing a small amount of tooth surface, so it is important to understand what is involved before you decide.
Book Your ConsultationPeople ask about cosmetic dentistry for a range of reasons. Your dentist will advise what is suitable for you.
If you are not sure which treatment you are asking about, that is fine. Book a consultation and your dentist can explain the options.

You agree a treatment plan and the cost before anything is done. Where it helps, your dentist may show you how the planned changes could look.
Depending on the treatment, the teeth are prepared and the bonding or veneers are made and fitted. Some treatments are completed in one visit and others take more.
Your dentist checks the fit and finish, explains how to look after your teeth and arranges any review appointments.
Your dentist explains each option, including whether a simpler or more conservative treatment might meet your needs.

The price depends on the treatment you choose and how many teeth are involved. Your dentist will agree a plan with you and confirm the cost before you decide to go ahead.
Book Your AppointmentComposite bonding uses tooth-coloured material that is shaped onto your tooth, often with little or no removal of tooth surface. A veneer is a thin shell, made from composite, ceramic or zirconium, that is bonded to the front of the tooth. Your dentist will explain which is more suitable for your teeth.
A natural appearance is the aim, and your dentist will discuss shape and shade with you. How your teeth will look cannot be guaranteed, which is why the plan and your expectations are discussed carefully first.
It depends on the type. Where a veneer involves removing part of the tooth surface, the tooth cannot go back to how it was. Your dentist will explain this before you decide.
Many cosmetic treatments are carried out with little or no discomfort, and your dentist can use local anaesthetic where needed. Teeth can feel sensitive for a while afterwards. Tell your dentist if you are worried.
There is no fixed lifespan. It depends on the material, how well you look after your teeth, and habits such as grinding or biting hard objects. Veneers and bonding can chip or wear and may need repair or replacement.
Clean your teeth thoroughly as advised, attend regular check-ups, and avoid biting hard objects such as pens or ice. Your dentist may suggest a night guard if you grind your teeth.
If your main concern is the colour of natural teeth, whitening may be an option. Whitening does not change the colour of existing fillings, crowns or veneers. Your dentist can advise what is appropriate.
Our current listed price is from £150. The final cost depends on the treatment and the number of teeth involved, and will be explained before you decide.
